Santa Catalina is a small fishing village. It also features world class waves drawing the attention of surfers and beach goers world wide. It is classed as having some of the best waves in Central America. It is also the jump off and return point for most tours to Coiba Island. Coiba National Park is a hot spot for whale sharks, humpback whales, sea turtles, stingrays and hundreds of other species of marine life.
